Hi,
I think "Practical Studies Volume I" gives information about how to proceed
building a lab.....
I have 2500 routers running maximum ram/flash with 12.2 Enterprise Plus
(Enterprise for running IS-IS), and a 1751-V & 2600 XM for running voice
with FXS ports.
Complete that with a 2522 and a 3-port ISDN simulator, a Cat3550 & a 2950T.
Only for ATM I'll have to rely on remote labs, here the cost of buying them
doesn't justify it, since it can be learned in a few sessions on a remote
lab. Even for the voice part I'm wondering if it was worth the $$$, and if I
wasn't better off renting remote rack time.
The 2500 routers may be an issue after august since 12.2T features will be
tested. IS-IS will be an issue since the 2500 12.2T doesn't have an image
that runs it due to memory limitations.
This month there should be a new book, "CCIE Practice labs", which may offer
the same thing as the much more expensive lab workbooks..... I am planning
on getting it as soon as it is released, just in time for practicing it for
a few weeks.
Koen.

Hi all,
This is my first message on GroupStudy. After a long time of preparation, I
am booked for the CCIE R&S lab in Brussels on July 29, first attempt.
I have a 2500-based home lab (which would get me into trouble for 12.2T
features should I fail the lab), and now am getting experience with ATM with
the (excellently supported) www.ccie4u.com remote lab.
The whole month of July is planned for lab-practice, it will be hard but
hopefully rewarding.
Kind regards,
Koen.
