Few qustions about QOS: Shape peak/avarage, MQC shape/police

Hello all,

I searched the archives but found no final/complete answers:

1. What is the diff between average and peak on NON frame-relay
interfaces? I can always use average with higher BC values to equal peak
(BC+BE). (peak makes sense only on frame-relay, and the docs are only
talking about BE traffic can be marked as DE by the telco)
2. What BE is doing when configuring with "shape average"?
3. Some post here suggest that MQC kicks in only on loaded interface. Is
it true for MQC with shape/police? (Makes sense only for bandwidth)
4. Has BE have any use in "police" other then marking QOS values to
packets? (I found none)
5. For NON frame-relay interfaces, does TC in GTS/MQC changes the same way
as with FRTS? (I think It should but found no document about it)

Thank you all..
Dan
