Hi Yasser,

I believe you are rigth, with the command snmp-server host 1.1.1.1 CISCO the
NMS1 will receive ALL the traps, including HSRP. One way to meet the
requirements is the longest way: to list in the snmp-server host command ALL
the traps options, but for the NMS1 to not put the HSRP traps. In that case
NMS2 will receive all the traps and NMS1 will receive all without HSRP.

  What do you think?

David

Hello,

If you have 2 management stations and you are asking to make the routers
sending traps to them.
It is requested to send hsrp traps only to the 2nd management station.

Solution:

NMS1: 1.1.1.1
NMS2: 2.2.2.2
Trap password: CISCO

snmp-server host 1.1.1.1 CISCO
snmp-server host 2.2.2.2 CISCO hsrp

My question: If I am understanding this correctly, this config will send
unconditional traps to NMS1 - including hsrp -, whereas NMS2 will receive
only hsrp traps. Am I getting it correctly ?

If yes then it is not acheiving the target. Is there a way to make NMS2 get
hsrp traps without sending it to NMS1 ?

Thanks for your reply.
Yasser
