My 3550 supports "ip multicast rate-limit", but does not support "match
packet".
My IOS is c3550-i5q3l2-mz.121-19.EA1a.bin
Does any body know what 3550 IOS is used in the Lab?

Thanks for the suggestions so far, and I understand what you have
suggested concerning routers but on a 3550 (or mine at least) neither
the "ip multicast rate-limit" command nor the "match packet" class
command is supported.
