You would want to have separate spids and dialer strings so that you can
practice setting up connections to different remote routers. But if you
understand the syntax and how it works then one common spid/string
should get you by.

Subject: ISDN simulator question
I have an astrocom ISDN simulator. I am finally able to get it to work
in single numbering mode, so that both channels use the same dialer
string or the same SPID. Is the proper mode to be running it in for
most labs, or do I need to have it in a Dual Fixed or Dual Flowating
mode, so each channel has it's own dialer string and SPID?
Thanks,
ISDN challenged guy
