I can relate a similar experience. After doing about 10 eight-hour practice
labs in a row using the 172.16.x.x address space the next practice lab I did
used a 151.10.x.x address space or something similar.
I was screwing everything up from frame-relay maps to access-lists to router
network statements. I had to do a heck of a lot more troubleshooting then I
would have if I had just paid closer attention to this important detail.
The moral of the story for me was to pay very close attention to detail so
as not to get trapped by something as simple as different addresses. Also, I
began using a wide variety of addresses when practicing.

Subject: Lab exam address blocks
The biggest problem I had with addresses in the lab was that the exam used a
/16 (or was it /8) block *almost* the same as my production address block.
I had to constantly fight my finger memory. Made it interesting. :-)
