Officially it's Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. See www.rtp.org
The town of Cary (population 94,000) was a wide spot in the road back in
1959 when RTP was founded. Cary is now a very popular, upscale bedroom
community for people who work in "The Park", as they call it here. The
locals claim that 'Cary' is really an acronym for Community Area for
Relocated Yankees.
