Congratulations Raj !
I too was at RTP the same week only to receive disappointing news that I did
not pass R&S. I am going to keep my chin up high and continue the pursuit
for CCIE. I've been working hard over the past 2 years and refuse to give
up. Planning my next trip to San Jose.
Enjoy your CCIE.
Best regards,
William

> Hello all,
>
> I passed on my first try in RTP on the 27th. I was a very odd experience.
>
> I was a bit nervous going to begin with; on top of that I was late 5 min.
to the lab. When I got in, the worst day begun with a lot of mistakes on
their part or who knows it maybe part of the test!! They gave me the wrong
lab (Security), once the lab was corrected, my IP address were wrong, and
then yet another lab book to correct the IP addresses and then to find out
that I was told to sit on the wrong rack. After 45 min. of thunder, I
finally settled down in my rack seat, and then it was smooth sailing till
the end.
>
> I was done with the lab in about 4 hours into the lab; the rest of the
time I spend was checking my configs. I would say I checked my configs and
pinged everything 3 - 4 times till I was tired of checking it again and
again. And then finally the proctors voice of the time is UP!! I was a bit
nervous leaving the rack and then thinking if I really did well.
>
> Once I got to the hotel, the voice in the back of the head keep on double
guessing. Needless to say, after endless F5s on my outlook for email, my
results came 4 hours after the exam.
>
> Once the results came, I didn't want to know if I passed or not, saying,
if I am going to drink tonight I was don't want to wake up in the morning
with a headache and on top no feel good about myself because if the results.
After getting the guts to open the email and login on to the website I was
relieved to see PASS.
>
> As for studying for this, I used all the normal study material everyone
has, a home rack that was really helpful to me, and then for sure,
CyscoExperts for their robotic brain.
>
> I would really thank all my family for being supportive in this hard time.
I would also like to send a special thanks to CyscoExpert. I could not have
done this without them; they were the light in dark. I would like to thank
Bacho, Mitch, Baharm, Peter, Tom and Naren for helping me through this. They
were held my hand and walk me through this certification.
>
> And finally I would like to thanks Groupstudy for providing this list, and
all the people who are on this.
>
> Thanks again to all, could not have done without you all.
