I don't think LANE is on the lab any more. You should also include Classical
IP on your topic list. I am not sure if you need to know ATM MPLS cell mode
or not for R&S, but you should at least investigate whether you need to know
it. I would also make sure you know the different ways to configure ATM such
as autodiscovery, RFC 1483, etc. Basically, if it is in IOS, it is fair game
unless it is explicitly said to not be on the exam by the CCIE web site. If
you have a question about whether you need to know any one given topic, you
can ask the CCIE program. They are very good about responding in a timely
manner to reasonable questions.

Subject: ATM to know for lab

Group,

I know there are many ways to configure ATM that is possible to be tested on
CCIE R&S Lab based on Cisco's list of excluded topics... The topics I can
think of that can be tested include:

PVCs (static and autodiscovery)
  Major Interfaces, Subinterfaces
SVCs
  LANE (arp-server, etc)
PPPoATM
   Virtual Templates
   Dialer Profiles
Various encapsulation types
  Cisco Proprietary & Open Standards
VoATM

Is there a single reference material (book or document of some sort) that
can be used to understand and prepare for anything the R&S lab can throw at
us?

Thanks in advance,
Ken
