Subject: a long journey
Hello Team,
A journey in networking began for me in 1995. When I was hired as an intern
to do iventory of cabling and network cards. I didnt even know what a server
was back then. I was in the middle of a big ATM LAB project for the
Universtiy. I interviewed at Cisco Systems back in 1996, and throught that I
had a good idea of networking. Even though I didnt get the job back then I
knew that I wanted to learn more about networking. I eventually started from
the ground up and learned about servers and networking. Even after I got
CCNA and CCNP, I didnt think that CCIE could be that much harder, I was in
for a big surprise. Finally, after 5 attempts and almost 2 years of study
full time, I have achieved my goal. First of all I would like to thank
NetmasterClass, especially Bruce Caslow, Val Palvichenko, Indy Teller,
Alexei, Adel and Bob Sinclair, this is the best team I have ever worked
with. I learned so much from this company, words just cant describe. I also
would like to thank my stud! y partner for the DOIT labs William Chen, we
had very interesting discussions of the issues of the labs. I was very lucky
to have such a good study partner with me. I would also like to thank Scott
Morris of IPEXPERT, he was with me from the beginning when I was working on
the ccbootcamp labs. He always was available for any questions I had. Also,
I listen to the IPEXPERT audio on the drive up to North Carolina this time,
very entertaining for the drive. I would also like to thank Brian McGahan
and Brian Dennis, these guys were really good, I really enjoyed the mock lab
workshop and doing all the Internetworkexpert labs, these labs were also
very entertaining. For those of you that fail the exam, I really think you
have to dig deep within yourself, and ask yourself do you really want this
certification. If you do then you just have to eat, live and breathe this
stuff. As for advice for the exam, I would recommned to do as Bruce Caslow
says "do as may well thought out scener! ios as you can". I would also
highly recommned doing a mock la! b when y
ou think you are ready for the exam. I want to thank all of you and what a
privilege it has been to be part of a fanastic group. I also would like to
thank Brad Ellis from ccbootcamp he helped me get started after I passed the
written exam. I would also like to thank Karl Solie. I apologize if I left
anyone else out, im sure there are others. Sincerely, John Matijevic CCIE
