802.1x using EAP-MD5

I am trying to implement 802.1x using EAP-MD5. It
works well with the ACS databse but we have an LDAP
and external RADIUS database. I am trying to replicate
the existing database into the ACS. If I refer the ACS
to the external database it requires certificates to
work using EAP-TLS which we do not want to do.

Anyone ever installed 802.1x without using
certificates, but MD5? Is there a way to replicate the
existing databse into ACS? Any other ideas or links?
