I'll say add Justin Menga's CCNP Practical Studies Switching. It is very
original and very up to date.

Subject: Very Excellent New BCMSN Book - a Must Have

Guys,

Just got my copy of the new Froom, et. al. BCMSN book!! (Pardon my
excitement, but I am a former BCMSN instructor). Well written,
up-to-the-minute current and comprehensive. Here is a taste of some of
the topics covered:

1. Update to the Enterprise MLS Model
2, Depth on Catalyst software versions, file systems, software upgrade,
conversions 3. Coverage of VTP version 3, RSTP and MST 4. Plenty on
STP features Root Guard, Loop Guard, UDLD, etc. 5. Long needed
discussion of CEF-based MLS 6. Good coverage of Supervisor Engine
Redundancy 7. Good depth on HSRP, VRRP, GLBP 8. IOS Server Load
Balancing 9. Full chapter on Voice support on Catalysts 10. Chapter on
Storage Networking, with depth on Fibre Channel, iSCSI 11. Cool Chapter
on Metro Ethernet, including SONET, DWDM, CWDM, Q-in-Q Tunneling,
Ethernet over MPLS 12. Appendix with needed depth on Auto-Negotiation

IMHO, a worthy shelf-mate to Clark & Hamilton's Cisco LAN Switching
(which is saying something) and the best I have seen on Cisco LAN
Switching in 5 years.

Currently in stock at bookpool.com ;->
