Or if feasable get a DSL card for R2 and if it isn't capable replace it with
like an 827 ADSL router then you can do HSRP tracking like you want.

hmmmm how about a floating default route on r2 to r1 so if r2 can't reach
it's default go to r1.

This is my scenerio. I have 2 routers in a remote site. Router1 has a P2P
T-1 to a datacenter and router2 is connected to a non Cisco low end DSL
router. Under normal operations all office/internal traffic is routed
through the T-1. Router2 has an OSPF neighbor tunneled over the Internet
via the DSL link in the case the T-1 goes down. All Internet traffic is
statically routed directly to the Internet via the DSL link. They are
running HSRP.
Here's my problem. In the event that the DSL link goes down I want to
direct Internet traffic over the T-1 and from the data center it will be
sent to the Internet. The problem is that if the DSL line goes down router2
will not know about it because the DSL line is not terminated on router2,
thus HSRP tracking won't work.
This seems like an easy problem, but I can't think of a way to get it done.
I've looked into PBR, but can't find a solution there either. Any
suggestions would be appreciated.
