As far as the terminology goes, I'd expect to see the questions worded only in "ciscoese", with no need to translate into "telcoese".
Don't be shocked if you're asked to do something stupid (set FRTS to wildly oversubscribe one end, etc). Don't worry about oversubscription unless you're told to do so.

Subject: FRTS yet again - 2 (seemingly) simple questions
Hi guys,
By now, most of us have seen the equation Bc = CIR * Tc many, many times.
My question is which cir is this, the cir provisioned by the service provider
and is equal to mincir set on the router or the cir configured within the
map-class frame-relay on the router?
I have one more question:
In the lab, assume you're told that the cir provisioned by the carrier is x.
OK, we know to use that value for the mincir in our map-class. But, what
wording or info do we look for to determine what value we should use for cir
in our map-class?
I've checked the GS archieves, cisco's web site, and various reference books
and can't come up with a definitive answer. My thinking is that I should use
the port speed, unless the remote site has a smaller port speed in which case
I should use the remote's port speed, but I'm not 100% on this.
Can someone take me through the proper thinking on this?
Thanks in advanced, Tim
