But one thing,a defualt route pointing to hub is much better than stub

Subject: RE: Eigrp stub routing question

Hi Mohamed,

EIGRP stub feature does not prevent the hub to send the routes to the
spoke. When the hub sees the stub flag, it does not query the spoke for
lost routes, that's all. If you want to avoid routes getting in from the
hub you need to filter them with (for example) an outgoing distribute
list in the hub.

Cheers,
Ato.

Subject: Eigrp stub routing question

Hi all,.
I could not understand how the stub routing feature works in eigrp..

I have 2 routers

SFM--------Down

I configure stub routing in Down.

Down#sh run | b router eigrp
router eigrp 1000
 network 25.0.0.0
 network 29.0.0.0
 network 99.99.99.0 0.0.0.255
 network 200.100.100.0
 network 201.100.100.0
 network 219.2.0.0
 no auto-summary
 eigrp stub static

So as per the cisco site
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1829/products_feature_
guide09186a0080087026.html

This "Down" switch has to send connected updates to SFM and shouldnot
recive any updates from SFM.

But I get the SFM routing table in Down..
Down#sh ip route eigrp
