Jamie,

During the practice labs is when you are glad to see these errors... you
don't want to see them for the first time during the real lab, so it
helps to do practice labs at 2am (or 3am as it is now on the East
Coast).

Thanks this must have been the problem because when i retype it in it

up fine! This is what happens when you are doing practice labs at 2am or

Jamie,

Remove and reinstall the following command under the associated Serial
interface on both routers:

ip ospf message-digest-key 199 md5 cisco

9 times out of 10 you have an extra space after one of the passwords
(one side being "cisco" and the other side being "cisco " - note the
extra space), which results in a different MD5 hash on both sides.
