Is there a chance you have an incorrect firmware loaded on this phone?
New software versions are "protected" so corrupted or invalid software
upgrades will not be processed, but if you have an old version it may
not be protected in this fashion.

Subject: OT: IP Polycom only displays "ObtainingIP address" any ideas?

Some back ground on the problem...IP Polycom only displays "ObtainingIP
address" its a cisco 7935, that used to work fine with my callmanager. I
went into the configuration and set it to not do dhcp, and use static
addressing withing the rfc 1918 block that I use internally. Once I
configured it to do so, i rebooted the unit. Now the unit seems to do
the boot POST test fine, all except it appearently cannot obtain a IP
address (which it shouldnt be trying to, since i turned of dhcp)from the
message that its displaying. Unfortunately no IP address, and the unit
sits in limbo forever...any ideas... secret key combos that can get me
back to configuration mode or clear config, cause it obviously has
somthing skewed in the configuration holding it up.
I put a sniffer in the mix, and can see the dhcp request from the IP
polycom on the wire, but nothing will answer the request ( the strange
part!). Ive tried all the dhcp options for tftp 66 and 150 thinking that
that might be the issue, but no good... I have also tried various dhcp
server types to make sure also....now I have exhausted ideas accept a
idea of key combo's ...does anyone have any idea what might be going on?
