More than likely a hardware and code mismatch issue.

What IOS are you running?

You should run 12.2(11)T10 and the code requires minimum of 96Meg DRAM and 32Meg
flash.

Subject: NM-16ESW connection problems

Hello All

I have a problem which I can not figure out.

In my lab kit I have a 3745 with a NM-16ESW (Cat2) and a Cat 3550
(Cat1). When I connect the Cat1 int f0/13 to the Cat2 int f1/13, with a
cross-over cable, the Cat1 int shows it's not connected and the Cat2
says the line is up but the protocol is down. I have tried different
cables (cross-over and straight) and various other ports on the two
switches, all with the same results. Im trying to setup a trunk between
the two switches. The ports are not faulty as ive successfully connected
pc's and routers.

Has anyone experienced something similar?
Is this an official issue with a patch or work around?

Kind Regards,
Carl C
