That is correct. If it's a TR segment, you use the address as supplied. If
it's an ethernet segment, you have to bit-swap it.

Since dlsw is only suppose to use non-canonical form of mac addresses, can I
safely assume that when configuring a "icanreach" statement, I need to
always use the non-canonical format of the mac addr? Regardless of whether
