RE: OT: 4096 VLAN support

Our project has numerous sites ranging from 50 users to 25,000 users. To cover all variations and keep some consistency, we've assigned most of the 1024 to various functions, such as VLANs for printers, servers, users, IDSs, and a lot of other things. Now we have a need for VLANs to support legacy networks for migration purposes. Rather than borrow some VLAN IDs from the current scheme and cause differences from other sites (which will confuse NOC personal), we're looking at the possibility of using the extended range for this new need. We'd never have even 500 at any one site, but across all sites, we might use a good portion of them. Having an additional 3000 might help to maintain our current consistency.
