ip accounting configuration

Dear all:

I want to know the accounting information from ethernet.So
I configured like below.

interface ethernet 0
 ip address 192.168.1.254 255.255.255.0
 ip accounting
!

But in this configuration, I only saw a output packet from
ethernet interface by 'show ip accounting'.
How should I configure to see a input packet ?
Please let me know.
