removing dynamic desirable on 3550

Hi Group

I am trying to disable trunk autonegotiation(default)on 3550. I get the
following message.

SW1(config-if)#switchport nonegotiate
Command rejected: Conflict between 'nonegotiate' and 'dynamic' status.

Even when I remove "switchport mode dynamic desirable", which does not get
removed anyway.

Any suggestions ?
