Without knowing how your NOC is laid out, do consider that having
displays for rows of cubicles, etc., often is easier to see than one
large display. If the NOC is arranged in a 'theater style", large
screens often do make sense, but it sometimes can be hard to read
text given the large screen's resolution.

Mind you, I know of one NOC for a governmental organization, operated
under contract by a telecommunications carrier, which has two
sections. The first is where most work is done -- two rows of
consoles, mostly with individual screens, often with larger displays
that cen service two or three consoles without people dislocating
their necks.

The other part has a large, throne-like chair facing a large screen.
There is a small control panel on each arm of the chair, which is
flanked by two less impressive but still throne-like chairs. Behind a
railing at the back of the room are various wall consoles.

I knew I had seen this, or something very like it, before. "Wait a
minute," I said to my guide, "this looks like..."

"Yes," he grinned. "We used the Starfleet Technical Guide (New
Generation author's guide) for the design. Not that we do anything
other than light up some screens, it saves us incredible hassle by
letting upper management take the politicians into it, and keep them
out of our hair."
