I have noted the other replies to this one, but I didn't see an answer to
the bit about the tftp server so I thought id give it a go.
Yes it will work without the tftp server address for the binding db - it
just stores them in ram - note this means that you can have problems with
duplicate ip addresses after you reload the router though, however in
practice (ie the real world) this rarely causes much of a problem. We run
DHCP in this way for small clients that have an 800 or 1700 series router
hanging of their dsl line all the time.
