Hi William,
I had the same problem this morning and I fixed it by removing the
redistribute isis command ("no red isis") and (guess what) reboot ;) , then
reapply the good command and it was OK. Don't ask me why.
Cheers,
Ato.

Subject: ISIS Problem.
Dear all,
I was done a lab and in my finaly configuration of a router, some weired
things about ISIS:
router isis 1
is-type level-1
!
router rip
version 2
redistribute ospf 1 metric 4
redistribute isis 1 1 level-2 metric 4 <------- ??????
passive-interface default
no passive-interface FastEthernet0/0.17
no passive-interface FastEthernet0/0.88
network 172.16.0.0
!
I was never enter a redistribution command like that? Moreover, that
command is syntax error, (try to enter it and you will find it). Why it came
into my configuration and create a "router isis 1" process for me? Is it an
IOS bug or something?
Best Regards,
William Chen
