If using 2500's you should more likely use the latest Enterprise
12.1T train. Typically a T train of an earlier version will have more
feature support than a mainline of a later version. When you start getting
in to 12.2 on the 2500's you start sacrificing one feature for another.
Check the feature navigator on CCO (http://www.cisco.com/go/fn) to
compare specific features in specific releases side by side. For example,
pick a late 12.2T for 2600+. We run 12.2(15)T7 Enterprise Basic
(c2600-j1s3-mz.122-15.T7.bin & c3600-j1s3-mz.122-15.T7.bin). Compare this
to a 12.1T enterprise plus version that the 2500s support and you'll see
what you're missing out on. Take note of these features, then when you get
access to equipment that does support them you can test those features out.
