Yes,
The customer. The customer and thier requirements, budgets and the organizations skill level.
That is odd.... I have never gotten paid any differently when I was installing one vendors equipment over another. You get paid a different amount for installing a Netscreen versus a Cisco PIX? Tell your customers to call me. I offer firm fixed prices regardless of vendor and will work to get them whatever they need within their budget whether it is PIX, Netscreen or Watchguard whatever. I will honestly analyze thier needs and evaluate their budget and propose something appropriate and vendor neutral. It is all about the customer.

PIX is better for one good reason. I'm certified in Netscreen and Cisco
(CCIE/CCSP) and take it from me, you get paid more with the cisco certs and
experience.
Does anything else really matter? If it does, drop me a private email.

Has anyone had experience with both of these products? If so, what are the
advantages/disadvantages of both? Thanks.
