    Did you try adding "flowcontrol none" under the asynch lines? Not
sure
what the default is here, but I had a similar problem and when I added
none
everything came back to life for me. Worth a try.

Thanks for the suggestiongs - Have tried them all.

Will try downgrading sw to 11.1 (same as I have on the other working
2509) and see if it works.
If not will just keep on using the telnet command.

That'll do it, all right. When I remove 'no ip domain-lookup' it tries a
DNS
lookup, but after a bit it finds the local host name and connects via
reverse telnet. See below:
