Sorry to give the impression I am angry - this is NOT the case - just
slightly annoyed. My post was meant to be a gentle, humorous reminder
for people to include their sources when they offer information.

Regarding your post, if someone else claims that they know the source
you are referring to but you do not confirm this, then how do we know
whether or not the other person is correct or mistaken about your
reference? It is really your responsibility to confirm it, to be sticky
about it.

Since I have used up so much bandwidth grumbling about imprecise posts,
I feel the need to contribute. Below are some of my favorite links for

I notice the original poster has still not posted the source of the
paper he cited below.

I apologize in advance to those who don't like to hear me grumble. But I

wish that people would provide specifics when they state information or
refer people to a source. That means web links, book title and author,
ISBN, etc.

I find it really annoying to see posts like "Yeah, I think I HEARD
SOMEWHERE that ISIS sets the ATT bit during the full moon . . ."

or

"There's a great new book on that subject, but I can't remember the
title, author, or publisher..."

Thanks in advance,

;-)

Jonathan
