R1 ---- R2---------------R3
Rip Rip/OSPF OSPF

Could you provide any ip addressing on the actual interfaces?

I am assuming this is for a ccie lab scenario.

1. null route (not allowed)
2. already stated no summarization (no area range/no summary address)

I really think your wording is off in your question.

Class A: 10
Class B: 172.16
Class C: 192.168.1

Are you sure you want a /16 route with 192.168.1.0?

i would look at adding a loopback address with the ip address 192.168.x.x
and a /16 mask. And then redistribute that into ospf or rip v2.

I would double check your addressing.

you could also create a bgp aggregate address and redistribute that into
ospf/rip. If you really wanted to get harry/technical.

are you sure you have to redistribute it? you could put R2 with a secondary
interface witha class b mask, and just simply put it into rip with the
network command.

R2(config-if)# ip address 192.168.255.254 255.255.0.0
R2(config-if)#router rip
R2(config-router)#network 192.168.0.0

good luck and e-mail me with an urgent flag and let me know if this helps.
