...... it's interesting that out of the replies I've had so far about the encaps type everybody has a different opinion!
Richard - good suggestion, I thought you had it cracked for a moment, however I have tried this out by changing the encaps type on the BB rtr and doing a sh atm pvc on the pod rtr (having configured atm ilmi-pvc-discovery first). The show output on the pod always lists the encapsulation type for the pvc as SNAP regardless of the BB rtr config. I've also tried rebooting the pod rtr to make sure it does a "clean" discovery.

Have you tried "pvc discovery" to see the encap type?
