Actually, the 2500 series does support multiple HSRP groups. It just doesn't support multiple MAC addresses. To work around this issue, use the "standy use-bia" command.
interface Ethernet0
ip address 10.1.1.5 255.255.255.0 secondary
ip address 150.50.7.5 255.255.255.128
standby use-bia
standby 1 ip 150.50.7.2
standby 2 ip 10.1.1.1
end
R5#sh standby
Ethernet0 - Group 1
Local state is Active, priority 100, use bia
Hellotime 3 sec, holdtime 10 sec
Next hello sent in 2.012
Virtual IP address is 150.50.7.2 configured
Active router is local
Standby router is unknown
Virtual mac address is 0000.0c31.945c
2 state changes, last state change 00:04:18
IP redundancy name is "hsrp-Et0-1" (default)
Ethernet0 - Group 2
Local state is Active, priority 100, use bia
Hellotime 3 sec, holdtime 10 sec
Next hello sent in 1.120
Virtual IP address is 10.1.1.1 configured
Active router is local
Standby router is unknown
Virtual mac address is 0000.0c31.945c
2 state changes, last state change 00:04:13
IP redundancy name is "hsrp-Et0-2" (default)

2500 series doesn't support multiple HSRP groups. 2600 and above will. One of about three reasons I want to GET THIS OVER WITH so I can retire my fast-becoming-obsolete home lab. Sorry!
