Hi Group,

I have many 2924-XL/2948 series switches with code (Cat OS 4.5). How exactly would I monitor the Gig links to see if it is congested and find its utilization (show port does not show anything). There don't seem to be any commands to do this. How do I know the CPU Utilization on these switches as there is no "show proc cmd" on this switch. Are there any tools which could be used.
2.The above switches are connected to a core switch (4912) .There is no cmd that I can use on the 4912 to find out if the 100meg pipe is congested. Also what is the best way to confirm if the multiple T1s and a 3 Meg link on router is congested... it shows around 60% Util with CPU load of 50-55% under load ( I know the show int and show proc cmds). Are there any docs URLs indicating what is the gen acceptable load and Utilization is ? the router is running 12.3 code.

3.Are there any tools that we could use to decipher the type of traffic running on the T1 link such that we could control (would Netflow switching and or NBAR be a good idea to use...would it cause more CPU load to already existing one).

Thanks for ur help.
Annu
