This is a really really really really ...good one for the group:
I cannot find the documentation for this command anywhere "addr-flap" I think Cisco either discontinued it, or created it
In a special release just for this customer. We were getting address-flap messages filling up the log -because we have APs that move around
(wireless access-points)on the plant floor. It is really bothering me that I cannot find anything on this command. I even tried Borland's site of the
Un-documented Cisco commands...nothing*
Note: We have other devices scattered all over the place (all 2924M-XL-A at other assembly plants) that have varied workstation releases 12.0(5)wc3b and
12.0(5)wc7 and 12.0(5)wc8...We are scratching our heads. Don't get me wrong, this is a really neat command, but where did it
Come from? I have never run into a command I couldn't find on Cisco's web site or the Internet...I have seen Cisco create special trains of code for us, especially back in our heavy ISIS and DEC days...but not something like this. Back then, it was more for added or loss of functionality, more than ease of logging burden...clueless?????
I am also sending an e-mail to our NSA contact for this customer, I will give you guys an update if I get one. Whoever figures this out will be a golden boy (hee hee hee)
