I have a question if I may for you all. I have been debating and
researching the last three months on what the best Authentication server
is. Currently we are using TACACS on the internal network. This does
not provide the granularity needed so we are migrating to TACACS+. I
currently have the bits for the freeware version from Cisco for UNIX but
I don't think it will support 802.1X authentication. I know the Windows
version 3.2 of Cisco ACS supports it but I like to use a lot of Expect
Scripts for management that are limited in Windows. Another server that
supports 802.1X authentication I have found is RADIOTOR by Open systems
but I don't know much about this. Do any of you have insights or
thoughts? Or know a website that gives a good in depth technical
comparison of the various systems. This is the only professional
question I have not been able to come to a solution on my own so sorry
to inject this into groupstudy.
