<High availability, load balancing, and manageability are key>

not sure if any pix platform offers active/active (just active/passive) yet,
but i think it is on the roadmap...this is cool for both high availability and
load balancing...i do think that CP offers an active/active config. the CP
gui probably wins. i would still go with the pix though, it is more
straightforward, and less complex, ie, no management station required, no
licensing issues, no support issues (i think we can all agree that TAC
wins)....no third-party OS patching (ie, windows, solaris, IPSO, ??)....i
could go on and on here....

i would think a better argument could be made for netscreen vs. pix (netscreen
offers active/active configs also, and better low end functionality with giga
asic over x86 based platforms.....ie, policy matching in hardware,
etc)......but the future of netscreen is a little unclear with the juniper
angle......depending on the size of the enterprise, i think the hottest thing
going now is the FWSM with a 65k.

cheers

I've read has them pretty close. High availability, load balancing, and
