I had this same issue last year. I recall Cisco telling me that Cisco
works was not supported under SP3 and also does not work on win2k
advanced server. Nonetheless, I was able to get it to work with SP3, yes
it is a java issue and I have it running now on SP4. I recall
downloading the latest java runtime and installing it on the server. I
also had issues with IE so on the server box itself I use Netscape on
remote clients I use IE. I am running CiscoWorks 2000 5th Edition
Complete set with Campus, Device Fault, ACL, QOS Policy, Service Level
and Policy Manager modules.

Regards.

Did anyone figure out the issue with Ciscoworks and
Java. I am running W2K with SP3. It is a Dell 2650.

After a couple of days the processes get hung and I
have to reboot the box to get connectivity. It seems
like it is a Java type issue.
