I am sure this does not encompass all rules, but here a couple that are
pretty important and consistent. There are prolly a lot more that fall under
particular scenarios but.....

My understanding is that in all the IGP protocols redistribution is based on
what is in the database/topology table except for 2. ISIS is based on
routing table so those routes listed locally as connected will not get
redistributed automtatically.

I am not 100% if I am remembering this correctly but....
The other is EIGRP in this circumstance: If you have redistributed any 1
interface using the redistribute connected command, then redistributing of
any of the other locally connected interfaces will not occur, even if they
are included within the network statements. My understanding is that EIGRP
assumes that if you redistribute any single connected that that is all you
want to redistribute even if the other connected interfaces fall under the
locally configured network statment.
