Normally if security is at all an issue I would recommend a secure modem
such as a CDI modem. But if security is not a big deal for you then
modems such as microcom or multitech should be a good fit.

Subject: OT: Best External Modems for Routers/FW's
Hello, Group.
I apologize for the off-topic post, but does anyone know what Cisco's
preferred modem(s) is/are? I'm purchasing modems for a router and Pix
501
and want to get the most reliable and compatible one for around 70.00
US.
Anything but USR's. I always have problems with those.
Thanks,
Danny
