Hi,
I dont think u would need to change the timers on the virtual link. When
u configure the Virtual link over the Ethernet interface (per ur scenario
here) it is only used to have the Are 2 connectivity to Area 0. Only some
Area 0 paramters like Authentication need to match. In a real world
flexible scenario with no restrictions...even this auth could be diff
with the newer code.
As far as VLink is concerned the timers and other link parameters need to
be same on both side of the VL.I dont recollect having run into any
scenario where it needs to match the underlying data link layer.There is
no need to change any of the VLink parameters in gen or to match Area
parameters.
Maybe some experts can add here if they have seen something in Lab or
Real world.
