Hello all,
Have multi cast issue over hub and spoke
same issue on auto RP and bootstrap
R1 is hub, phsical int and the RP for a group
R2 is spoke phsical int and RP for a group
R3 is spoke Pysical int and Mapping agent
Between R1 and R3 all seems fine.
Between R1 and R2 if debug ip pim bsr
get the following on both routers:
pim-bsr bootstrap on non-RPF path
ie as the hub is a physical in with 2 DLCIs out multicasting cannot send
back out the interface the multicast packet came in on.
Sort of like split horizon.
all the Frame serial ints have ip pim nbma-mode
have tried this with both Auto RP and bootstrap.
Is there any way round. From my understanding would normally put the
mapping agent on the hub and all would be okay.
Thanks for any comments
Chris
