I strongly prefer to use the Web, so it did not even clicked in my mind why
one would want actual CD, but Adel's point on offline reading i.e. airplain
is very valid.

I had this issue before and opened Cisco case, was fixed in no time. Here
is a fragment of the case:

Problem Description: When launching Cisco Product Documentation from CD
dated May 2002, I get the following error message "This software has
expired. Click Exit to exit the appilcation." Reinstalation of software does
not help.

Proposed resolution: This is a problem that occurred with several CD
releases around the same time. There are a couple temporary work arounds but
the permanent fix is we need to replace a file. The file vdk20.lic needs to
be replaced. The file is located in the CISCO/common folder, first make a
backup of the current vdk20.lic file and then copy the new vdk20.lic file I
will email you into the CISCO/common/ folder. This will overwrite the old
vdk20.lic file with the new file and will resolve the issue.

Best regards,
Alexei

Happens on XP. Works smoothly with Win2000 (same CD).
Use web based one, it's the same. However, to take an offline tour thru it
while on the airplane, etc... I have installed a dual-boot into XP and 2000.
2000 is just for DocCD.
