Alec,

I tried the prepend in a route-map referenced by the attribute-map keyword,
and that did not work. So I kept it simple. As shown below, I was able to
prepend a locally made aggregate using normal route-map methods. Is this what
you are trying to do?

!
router bgp 2
 network 192.168.0.0
 aggregate-address 192.168.0.0 255.255.254.0 summary-only
 neighbor 172.16.7.1 remote-as 1
 neighbor 172.16.7.1 route-map PREPEND out
!
R2#sh route-map
route-map PREPEND, permit, sequence 10
  Match clauses:
    ip address (access-lists): 1
  Set clauses:
    as-path prepend 2 2 2
Policy routing matches: 0 packets, 0 bytes
route-map PREPEND, permit, sequence 20
  Match clauses:
  Set clauses:
Policy routing matches: 0 packets, 0 bytes
!
R2#sh access-l
Standard IP access list 1
    permit 192.168.0.0, wildcard bits 0.0.1.255 (9 matches) check=9
R2#

R1#sh ip b
BGP table version is 38, local router ID is 1.1.1.1
Status codes: s suppressed, d damped, h history, * valid, > best, i -
internal
Origin codes: i - IGP, e - EGP, ? - incomplete
