What version of code are you running? Can you give us the results of a show
cgmp statistics and a show igmp statistics?

Subject: multicast flooding in the server vlan
Hi
We have a network running multicast using cisco cat4
switches.
In the multicast server segment, there is no multicast
client installed. We found the multicast traffics are
flooding to every switchport in the vlan.
Once we install a multicast client in this server
vlan, the multicast flooding will stop. However in the
acutal setup, there will be no multicast client in
this vlan.
I understand IGMP snooping should work even for server
vlan. So can someone enlight me why this happen and
how to solve it?
thanks
