If you are not restricted from doing something then yes you can do it.
However make sure you know how to do this in case you are restricted from
adding certain networks from a routing protocol, as I am sure the workbooks
have this in there for a reason.

Subject: Re: redistribute connected in ccie lab
Alec,
I was just thinking abt the same thing!
My point is, if there is no restriction in the lab why can't i add the
connected in whichever routing protocol i want!!!
I think this way is easier and more time saving for other parts in the exam.
Redistribute connected with Route map and filtering is too complicated and
time consuming. is it really needed???
I do't see any added value to waste the lab time doing this?? But it seems
all lab workbooks r using the redistribute technique!!!
Am i missing something??
Thanks

A generic IGP question :
What will you do for interfaces that were not told explicitly to add into a
specific IGP in the lab exam ? Will you do redistibute connected route-map ?
Grateful if anyone can share their experience.
tks
