Hi group:
As you know, when you configure an interface to inject an eigrp summary
route to another router, you can specify the administrative distance of
this summary route. If you don't specify this AD, the Cisco doc says that
it's 5 .
I'm using 12.1 release to test in my lab, but i can't do that the injected
summary route be displayed in the eigrp neighbor with the AD i put: it
always appear as a route with AD=90
Anyone knows if this maybe a bug related to my ios version? Or maybe i have
something wrong about this command?. I read and re-read the command
reference for this command:
"EIGRP summary routes are given an administrative distance value of 5. The
administrative distance metric is used to advertise a summary without
installing it in the routing table"
It seems that the "distance" option in the ip summary-address eigrp command
should act like i think, but...
