You should be familiar with ALL core topics on the CCIE lab!!! The depth of
a topic may vary based on the specific lab that you have, and of course,
there's no predicting how simple or how evil any particular topic will be on
the lab that you receive!

So with that, you should most definitely be familiar with ATM networks,
along with any other topic not excluded by the list in the CCIE blueprint on
CCO.

If you don't have your own ATM equipment, I would suggest renting rack time
from somplace like Bradshaw labs, or any of the places that offer a full set
of equipment at reasonable rates. (cheaper than purchasing your own
equipment!)
