Set up a TFTP server and:

Try setting up your rommon environment (IP address, etc.) using the 'set'
command (set -? for help) and using the 'boot' command: 'boot
<IOS_image_filename> <TFTP_server_IP_address>. Once booted, 'copy tftp' the
image to your flash.

or,

Try booting your friend's bootflash and then 'copy tftp' the new boot image
on to your flash.
