.:Hello Team,
.:Does anyone know of a good network analyzer, that will run on windows XP
.:professional that is inexpensive but reliable. I had previously tried
.:ethereal, and it was very buggy and crashed my system once already, I looked
.:at the software from network associates, but it is around $1000 dollars. Any
.:suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When was the last time you've tried Ethereal? I've been using it for a
couple of years now and it's been stable on all operating
systems. Including XP. I've had the occasional crash, but that's when
I left the sniffer running for a couple of days by accident and it
just ran out of memory :)

I would suggest sticking with that. It's free, it has more update
packet definitions for most protocols then any packet analyzer I've
seen out there.
