Jason,
I find that traceroute will do that by default on my routers when the
returned interface address is in the local bgp table. It appears to be
doing a lookup in the bgp table for the returned address - amazing when you
consider the number of addresses in an Internet bgp router! My question
would be "how do I turn this off?"
